New Delhi (6) – The glorification of Aurangzeb made by Maharashtra Samajwadi Party MLA Abu Azmi has had repercussions in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly as well. Abu Azmi had made a controversial statement that Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb was not a cruel administrator and had built many temples. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has also accused Azmi of ‘treason’.Azmi made this statement in connection with the film ‘Chhawa’, which was released in Maharashtra. The film depicts the conflict between Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and Aurangzeb.Criticizing the Samajwadi Party led by Akhilesh Yadav in Uttar Pradesh, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said in the UP Legislative Assembly, “Remove that person from the Samajwadi Party and send him to UP. We will treat him…”Along with Abu Azmi, Yogi Adityanath has also targeted the Samajwadi Party.
