UP GOVERNMENT REWARDS SANITATION WORKERS FOR KUMBH MELA SERVICE

Prayagraj (27) – Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced a bonus for sanitation workers. Not only this, but from the month of April, the minimum wage of sanitation workers will be 16 thousand rupees.Meanwhile, an amount of Rs. 16,000 has been provided directly to the employees working on a temporary basis. Also, for the health coverage of these employees, Ayushman Bharat Yojana will be linked. The sanitation workers will be insured for five lakh rupees on this occasion. Yogi Adityanath told the media that Jan Arogya Ayushman Bima Yojana will benefit all the employees. For this, the government of Uttar Pradesh will set up a dedicated corporation. The Chief Minister made this announcement after taking a holy bath on the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri. Yogi also thanked the local residents for their cooperation in this religious festival. Yogi Adityanath asserted that the Kumbh Mela would not have been a success without the support of local residents. It is said that the sanitation workers play a major role in the success of the Maha Kumbh Mela. While thanking the citizens of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi said, “I thank the people of Prayagraj, who have treated this event as their own for the past two months. I can understand that the population of the city is 20-25 lakhs, and when 5-8 crore people came at once. One can imagine the situation then.” Yogi Adityanath has praised the sanitation and health workers for their substantial contribution during the 45-day Mahakumbh Mela between January 13 and February 26 in Prayagraj. They were given gifts and insurance certificates under the Swachh Kumbh Fund. Ambassadors and High Commissioners of 74 countries participated in this Kumbh Mela. Delegates from more than 80 countries became part of this grand spiritual gathering for the first time. On the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri, lakhs of devotees take a holy dip in the river Ganges. And on Wednesday, 2025, the Mahakumbha concluded.
