The Asian Games, also known as Asiad, is a continental multi-sport event held every fourth year among athletes from all over Asia. The Games were regulated by the Asian Games Federation (AGF) from the first Games in New Delhi , India , until the 1978 Games. Are recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and are described as the second largest multi-sport event after the Olympic Games. This time the 19th ceremony is going to take place in Hangzhou, China, from September 23rd to October 8th 2023.
India : Ready! Set! GO! India had a storied history at the quadrennial event and the past couple of decades have seen Indian participation at the Asian Games rise considerably.The upcoming event was scheduled for 2022 but due to the Covid-19 is shifted to 2023 . India is all set and enthusiastic to be a part of Asian Games. India have field 655 athletes at the Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou across 40 different sporting disciplines.The largest contingent is in athletics with 68.. The Asian Games games will be played across 56 venues in Hangzhou , China . Top Indian athletes like Neeraj Chopra , PV Sindhu among others are in action. A lot is and will be expected from the Indian hockey teams, the badminton duo on Satwiksairaj Ranki reddy and Chirag Shetty as well.

India Attaining Medals
• India’s astonishing gold in “Equestrian”: Equestrian is a sports of performance on horseback and Dressage an event which describes art of riding horses . The special win of the team is the feather in cap for the whole nation as Hriday Chheda , Anish Agrawal , Divyakriti Singh and Sudipti Hajela stood on the top shelf of the podium in 40 years.
• Rudrankksh Patil, Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar, Divyansh Singh Panwar bagged gold in Shooting ( Men’s 10m air rifle) and also a gold medal by Indian Women Cricket Team .
• Manu Bhaker , Rhythm Sangwan , Esha Singh secured gold in Shooting ( Wonem’s 25m pistol team) and another gold in shooting ( Women’s 50m rifle 3 positions ) is gained by Sift Kaur Samra.
• Seven silver medals acquired in Shooting ( Women’s 10m air rifle team ) by Ashi Chouksey, Mehuli Ghosh, Ramita Jindal, Rowing ( Men’s lightweight double sculls and Men’s eight) by Arjun Lal Jat and Arvind Singh and Neeraj, Naresh Kalwaniya, Neetesh Kumar, Charanjeet Singh, Jaswinder Singh, Bheem Singh, Punit Kumar, Ashish, DU Pande respectively , Shooting (Women’s 50m rifle 3 positions team , Women’s 25m pistol and Men’s skeet) by Ashi Chouksey, Manini Kaushik, Sift Kaur Samra and Manu Bhaker, Rhythm Sangwan, Esha Singh and Ananjeet Singh Naruka. Sailing ( Girl’s Dinghy- ILCA4) by Neha Thakur , Girl’s dinghy ILCA 4 is the category of art of sailing , defined as one design dinghy in the laser series which has 11 races and provide a level playing field where the sailor’s skills instead of design of boat dominate the outcome.
• And , ten bronze medals in total in Rowing (Men’s pair ) by Babu Lal Yadav and Lekh Ram , Shooting (Women’s 10m air rifle ) by Ramita Jindal , Rowing (Men’s four and Men’s quadruple ) by Jaswinder Singh, Bheem Singh, Punit Kumar, Ashish and Parminder Singh, Satnam Singh, Jakar Khan, Sukhmeet Singh respectively , Shooting (Men’s 10m air rifle and Men’s 25m rapid file pistol team) by Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar and Vijayveer Sidhu, Adarsh Singh, Anish Bhanwala , Sailing (Men’s Windsurfer – RS:X ) by Eabad Ali, Shooting (Women’s 50m rifle 3 positions and Men’s skeet team) by Ashi Chouksey and Anantjeet Singh Naruka, Gurjoat Singh Khangura, Angad Vir Singh Bajwa respectively , and Sailing ( Men’s Dinghy ICLA7 ) by Vishnu Saravanan.
