New Delhi wants to make J&K people worst category of slaves: Mehbooba Mufti

Srinagar:- Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti delivered a poignant address at a public rally in Pahalgam, Anantnag, highlighting the tumultuous state of affairs in Jammu and Kashmir since August 5, 2019. In her passionate speech, she expressed deep concern over the decisions made by New Delhi, which she believes have only exacerbated the suffering of the people of the region.

Mehbooba Mufti didn’t mince her words when she asserted that the decisions taken by New Delhi since August 5, 2019, reflect a concerted effort to subjugate the people of Jammu and Kashmir to a state of servitude. She emphasized the urgent need for a united front against what she perceives as an assault on the collective interests and dignity of the people of the region.

The PDP leader lamented the precarious situation in which the youth of Jammu and Kashmir find themselves, trapped in a cycle of uncertainty and deprivation. She pointed out the systematic erosion of fundamental rights, including access to employment, land, and electricity, which she views as a deliberate ploy to weaken the region economically and socially.

Furthermore, Mehbooba Mufti underscored the plundering of the region’s rich natural resources, portraying it as a concerted effort by New Delhi to cripple the economic backbone of Jammu and Kashmir. She warned against complacency, urging the people to recognize the gravity of the situation and join hands in resisting the encroachment on their rights and freedoms.

In a rallying cry to her supporters, Mehbooba Mufti vowed to reclaim the rights usurped by New Delhi, promising to do so with interest. However, she stressed that such a monumental task would require unwavering support and cooperation from the people of Jammu and Kashmir. She emphasized the importance of political representation, urging the electorate to rally behind the PDP and empower the party to champion their aspirations on the national stage.

In her impassioned plea, Mehbooba Mufti appealed to the conscience of the people, urging them to recognize the pivotal role they play in shaping the destiny of Jammu and Kashmir. She reiterated that their voices must be heard, their grievances addressed, and their rights safeguarded. The path ahead may be fraught with challenges, but with determination and unity, she believes that the people of Jammu and Kashmir can overcome the adversity and reclaim their dignity and autonomy.
